The FileDroppr browser extension

Turn any PDF into a tracked FileDroppr link without opening the dashboard. Right-click a PDF link on any page, or use the toolbar popup to upload one, and get a secure share link back in a couple of clicks. Works in Chrome and Edge.

What you need

Install

  1. Install from the Chrome Web Store (Chrome) or the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome (or Get on Edge), then pin the FileDroppr icon to your toolbar.

Connect your account

  1. Click the FileDroppr toolbar icon and open Options.
  2. Paste your API key and save. It's stored locally in the extension and sent only to filedroppr.com.

Share a PDF

  • Right-click a PDF link on any page and choose Share via FileDroppr - the extension uploads it and copies the tracked link.
  • Or open the toolbar popup and upload a PDF directly from your computer.

Uploads run through the extension's background worker, so the link comes back without a page reload.

What data is sent

The extension only contacts filedroppr.com, and only when you ask it to share a PDF. It sends the PDF and your API key over HTTPS - nothing else, and no browsing data. Full details are in the extension privacy policy.

Do I need a FileDroppr account?
