Folders for your documents

Group related PDFs into a folder - a campaign, a client, a quarter - so your library stops being a flat list and starts being a filing system you can actually navigate.

Drag and drop

Arrange documents by dragging them into and between folders. Reorganise as work shifts, without renaming files or breaking a single share link.

Folder-wide analytics

Every folder rolls up the readership of the documents inside it - total views, total readers, and completion across the set - so you can read a whole campaign’s performance at a glance.

Links stay put

Filing a document into a folder never changes its share link, QR code, or settings. Organisation is for your side of the desk; the reader’s link keeps working exactly as it did.

From a flat list to a filing system

Share enough documents and the library becomes the problem: a long, flat list where the January proposal sits next to the client lookbook next to last week’s menu. Folders give the file room its shelves. Group by campaign, by client, by quarter, or however your work divides, and the documents you need are together instead of scattered - and rearranging is a drag, not a rename.

Because a folder is just an organising layer, it never touches the documents inside it. Every share link, QR code, password, and expiry stays exactly as configured - filing a PDF away is invisible to the people you sent it to.

How folders work

  • Create a folder. Make a folder for a campaign, a client, or a project, and give it a name that means something to you.
  • Drag documents in. Drag and drop PDFs into folders and between them. Nothing about the file or its link changes - only where it lives in your library.
  • Read the roll-up. Open a folder and see aggregated readership across everything inside it: total views, total readers, and completion for the whole set.
  • Drill into any document. The per-document readership is still there - page-by-page reading time, the read-through funnel, returning readers - one click below the folder roll-up.
  • Reorganise any time. Move a document to a new folder as priorities change; its history and its share link come with it untouched.

Read a campaign, not just a file

The roll-up is what makes folders more than tidiness. When a client engagement is five documents or a campaign is a dozen brochures, the question is rarely "how did this one file do" - it is "how did the whole set perform". A folder answers that directly: aggregated views, readers, and completion across every document inside it, so you can compare one campaign against another or report a client’s total engagement without adding up numbers by hand.

Folders build on the same privacy-first per-document readership as every FileDroppr document - first-party, no reader IP stored - and pair naturally with a named contact list: send a whole folder’s worth of documents to a named list, then read the folder roll-up to see how that audience engaged across the set.

PDF folder questions.

How do I organise my PDFs into folders?

Create a folder in your FileDroppr library and drag documents into it. Folders can represent a campaign, a client, a project, or anything else, and you can drag and drop PDFs between them at any time. Filing a document never changes its share link, QR code, or settings.

What are folder-wide analytics?

Each folder rolls up the readership of every document inside it into one aggregated view - total views, total readers, and completion across the whole set. Instead of adding up individual files by hand, you read a campaign or a client’s total engagement at a glance, then drill into any single document for its page-by-page detail.

Does moving a document to a folder change its link?

No. Folders are an organising layer on your side only. A document’s share link, QR code, password, expiry, and every other setting stay exactly as configured when you file it or move it between folders, so the people you shared it with never notice a thing.

Can I still see analytics for a single document?

Yes. The per-document readership - page-by-page reading time, the read-through funnel, returning readers - is always available, one click below the folder roll-up. Folders add an aggregated layer on top; they do not replace the detail underneath.

Can I reorganise folders later?

Any time. Drag documents into new folders as your work shifts, and each document’s history and share link move with it untouched. There is no penalty for reorganising - the file room is yours to rearrange.

Which plan includes folders?

Folders and folder-wide roll-up analytics are available from the Basic plan ($9/month). Every plan stores files encrypted at rest with privacy-first readership; Pro adds named reader identities, custom domains, and viewer branding on top.

Give your library its shelves.

Upload your documents, group them into folders, and read a whole campaign’s readership in one roll-up - without a link ever changing.
