A link per recipient
Every person on the list gets their own tracked link, so opens are attributed to a specific name from the first page turn - no email gate form for them to fill in first.

From "did anyone open it?" to a named list
Email a PDF as an attachment to a list and it goes dark the instant you press send: you cannot tell who opened it, who ignored it, or who forwarded it around. Blind-copying a mailshot is no better - a delivery is not a read. Sending the same document as a FileDroppr distribution instead gives every recipient their own tracked link, so the moment someone opens it you know precisely who, and the moment they do not, that shows up too.
This is per-recipient PDF read tracking: the same page-by-page readership every FileDroppr link gets - reading time, a read-through funnel, returning readers - but attached to a name from the first visit, because you already know who each link went to. No reader has to sign anything before you learn who they are.

Named readership, without storing an IP
Knowing who opened a document usually means either trusting a plain "delivered" receipt or wiring the reader up to trackers. FileDroppr does neither. Recipients are named because you named them - the identity comes from the invitation, not from surveillance - and everyone else is still measured by a stable pseudonymous reader ID. No visitor IP address is ever stored, the country is derived in flight and discarded, and the measurement is first-party to your own document.
It is the same apparatus a sales team uses to send a deck to a prospect list, or a course to a cohort, or a brochure to a partner channel: one document, a list of people, and a report that answers "who read it?" with names - not a number, and not a guess.

How do I send a PDF to a list of contacts and track who opens it?

Can I import my contact list from a CSV?
Yes, on Pro. Import a distribution list from a CSV - name and email, plus any extra columns you keep - and send to everyone at once. On Basic you can still do small direct sends of up to 10 recipients at a time by pasting them in.
Can I see who was invited but has not opened the PDF yet?
Yes - that is the point of sending to a named list. The report shows each recipient as opened or not opened, so you can see exactly who still needs a nudge alongside the readers who have already been through it.
Does each recipient get their own link?
Yes. FileDroppr mints a separate tracked link per recipient, so every open is attributed to a specific person from the first page turn rather than to a shared, anonymous URL that anyone could have opened.
Do invited recipients still have to fill in the email gate form?
No. Because an invited recipient is already identified by their personal link, the email gate lets them through without a form. Anyone who reaches the document another way still signs the register, so you never lose an identity - and if watermarking is on, each recipient's identity is stamped onto their copy.
